Event Schedule Calculator
Enter the start and end dates of your AKC agility trial events, and this calculator will list the Agility Trial Secretary tasks which are date and sometimes time sensitive. The dates are according to the Regulations for Agility Trials published by the American Kennel Club®. The times of day are suggested which you may adjust according to your preferences and if Daylight Savings Time applies. Visit the Greenwish Mean Time website for more info about DST in the North America.
Schedule
* Submittals to AKC must be sent at the same time the premium list becomes available to exhibitors. The premium list must be made available by paper and/or electronically to prospective entrants a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the opening date for acceptance of entries for the event.
** This primarily pertains to a Limited Entry trial where some folks did not get in because you filled. Conversely, if an entry isn’t accepted because of an error on the entry form (example: its not signed, no class is circled, etc.), you can contact the exhibitor and have them resend the entry or notify you of the answer needed, then attach their answer to the form.
*** An official marked catalog containing the names and other identifying information for all entries indicating all dogs receiving qualifying scores and placements signed and certified by the judge(s) and the Trial Secretary, with a complete Trial Secretary’s report, and recording fees must be sent to the American Kennel Club so as to reach its office within seven (7) days after the close of the event. Also within seven (7) days, the Trial Chair shall complete an “Agility Trial Chair Report” form online and submit it to the AKC Director of Agility electronically.
Other Time-Sensitive Issues
-
After distribution of the premium list, if a judge assignment changes, exhibitors have the right to request a full refund of their entry fee for any classes affected. Exhibitors must submit requests in writing to the Trial Secretary a minimum of 30 minutes preceding the start of the event on the first day in which the exhibitor is entered.
-
The judging schedule must clearly state which classes have been changed and must also state that exhibitors are entitled to a full refund for entries affected by the change. The refund request must be in writing and may be submitted to the Trial Secretary anytime up until 30 minutes prior to the start of the event on the first day in which the exhibitor is entered.
-
Day-to-Day Move-ups: Move-ups from day-to-day at a set of back-to-back agility trials shall be at the discretion of the club.
-
In this instance, the Event Committee MUST consider disqualification of the dog, and must complete a DISQUALIFIED BY EVENT COMMITTEE form (AEDSQ4), which must be FAXED to AKC Event Operations within 72 hours of the incident.
- The judge must fill out a current DISQUALIFICATION FOR ATTACKING form (AEDSQ1) and have the Event Committee/Secretary FAX it to AKC Event Operations within 72 hours of the incident.
- As per the MDE Remuneration for Services Agreement, Exhibit A, submissions to online calendars will be made in a timely manner, typically upon receipt of all key agility trial event information, and may be on or before the Premium to Clubs with Questions date listed in the calculated Event Schedule above.
